Yi Zhang

is a partner in O'Melveny’s China practice and is based in Hong Kong. He has represented many multinational companies, commercial and investment banks and private equity investors in connection with the investment and financing of large-scale infrastructure, industrial and real estate projects in China. Yi has also worked on a large number of distressed assets deals.

Yi has also worked on infrastructure projects in the United States, Korea, Thailand, India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. In addition to infrastructure, industrial, real estate and distressed asset projects, Yi also has experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, financing and general corporate matters.

Yi was a political scientist before he went to law school. He has written extensively in China on the U.S. Constitution and the U.S. government and politics.
