Kaplan Named Recipient of the 2010 Marcus Kaufman Jurisprudence Prize

O'Melveny partner Phil Kaplan was honored with the Anti-Defamation League's prestigious Marcus Kaufman Jurisprudence Prize for 2010.  This year the award was given to three attorneys for their significant contributions to the community as well as the legal profession.  The honor is named after Justice Marcus Kaufman, the 103rd Justice of the California Supreme Court, and a champion of civil rights.

Marc Schneider, Board Chair of the ADL's Orange County/Long Beach region said, “We are thrilled these three individuals will receive the Jurisprudence Award.  Each one of them is deeply committed to the fight for civil rights, community involvement and leadership within the legal profession.”  He continued, “They bring, to their work, the highest standards of excellence and exemplify the mission of the ADL “to secure justice and fair treatment for all people.”
