Colin Law is a partner in O'Melveny's Hong Kong office, with an emphasis on securities and M&A transactions.  His practice includes advising bulge bracket US investment banks on international public offerings, takeovers of public companies, regulatory matters, and debt capital markets transactions.

Colin represents multinational companies doing business in China. He represents leading Chinese State-owned enterprises on the development of their global strategies and advising on some of the largest overseas acquisitions and joint ventures by the Chinese.  He is particularly involved in the financial services, insurance, natural resources, and telecom sectors.

Colin is recommended in the fields of Corporate/M&A and Capital Markets in the 2008 Chambers and Partners: Chambers Asia Guide Rankings. The IFLR 1000 identified him as a leading lawyer for mergers and acquisitions in its 2006 directory.

He speaks and writes Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).  He lived and worked in Beijing, Shanghai and London for leading international private practices before joining O'Melveny to lead its Hong Kong corporate practice.
